Why ContaCash
Bookkeeping software speaks a language you never signed up for. ContaCash starts somewhere else: what do you want to do?
Most bookkeeping software assume business owners speak accountant. You fire them up and it bombards you with chart of accounts, ledger numbers, journal entries, debit and credit. And if you are lucky, a manual that assumes you already know the difference. You did not start a business to learn accounting lingo.
ContaCash opens with simple language: what do you want to do? You want to send an invoice. A customer paid, so you want to mark the invoice as paid. You paid the phone bill. You want to run payroll for the month. Those are the words ContaCash uses, because those are closest to how you think about doing business.
The nouns and verbs
The app can keep growing, as long as it can speak your language.
The nouns are the interface. Sales, purchasing, pay roll, reports. The things you are interested in, done in a way that you understand.
The ledger is hidden in plain sight. Every action posts a balanced journal entry behind the scenes. You never type a debit unless you want to, and your accountant can always open the journal and check.
Reports are real time. Because every action was booked the moment it happened, profit and loss, the balance sheet and the tax report are one click away all year. Select a time frame and the reports spit out the numbers you want to see.
Built for the work, not the lingo
The sections of the app are the sections of your week: sales, purchases, bank, payroll, reports. Customers and suppliers instead of debtors and creditors. You never pick from eighty ledger accounts; you pick what the money was for, and ContaCash knows where it goes.
Your accountant sees the other side of the same coin. Same books, same entries, same reports, but in their language: a balanced journal they can open, check and extend.
Made for Aruba
The books follow the Aruban rules. BBO is shown on your side of the invoice and booked the moment your customer pays, not the moment you invoice; every payment splits out the BBO/BAVP and BAZV share. BBO on imported goods are credited back to you. The tax report adds it all up from the entries, and on tax day you pay the office straight from the report.
Payroll follows the same rules: wage tax, AZV and AOV post with the run.
Hiding in plain sight
If you ever want to see the machinery, the general journal is one click away. If you never do, it keeps working anyway. It is present to satisfy your accountant, and for you to ignore.
When you record a payment, ContaCash matches it to the invoice, and posts the entries. When you run payroll, the wage costs, the taxes withheld and the amounts still to pay land in the journal. You just look at the reports, far more useful.
Come tax time, the answer is ready
Open the reports, hand them over, close the year. The books were already done; they were done all along.
